Sustainability

This coffee was produced by The Lady Specialty Coffee, a company created to champion and support women farmers in Ywangan, southern Shan. All their coffee is farmed by exclusively by women, and they benefit from training in sustainable farming practices, quality control and fair pay.

Myanmar

The coffee trade in Myanmar grew in the 1980s following a UN project to replace illegal crops with coffee trees. Climate and terroir are perfect for coffee cultivation in various parts of the country, particularly in the Shan hills which stretch into the coffee growing regions of Yunnan and Thailand.
