China is a relatively new player in the world of coffee production, and it’s only in the last ten years that speciality coffee has become the focus. Yunnan Province, where this coffee comes from, produces over 97% of China’s coffee. This mountainous and fertile region shares a border in the south-west of the country with Myanmar, Laos and Vietnam.

The Las Gaviotas project is a tribute to the heritage, hardwork, and the art of selecting the best coffee by the women who farm the landin Huila, Colombia. The altitude in the west of the country and the warmweather make for perfect coffee growing conditions all year round.

This coffee was grown by more than 150 outgrower contributors living near the city of Yirgacheffe. The Bette Buna farms are vertically integrated, which means they grow, process and sell their coffee directly to customers.

This coffee comes from Tinganga in the Kenyan Highlands, which boasts deep red volcanic soil, perfect fertile conditions for growing speciality coffee. The farmers here have been growing coffee in the region since 1952.
