El Diviso, Colombia
We recently offered an opportunity to profile and roast our coffee for International Women’s Day to all women and non-binary employees at 200 Degrees. Earlier this month, we welcomed Bea from our Leeds shop, and Gladys from one of our Birmingham shops to the Roast House in Nottingham to start learning the craft from Head Roaster Mike.
From a starting line-up of 12 different coffees, Bea and Gladys selected this washed anaerobic coffee for it's bright and fruity flavours. They then worked with Mike to create the perfect roast profile for these very special beans. Before they are washed, they are double-fermented, to bring out the sweetness. This coffee is best enjoyed black as an espresso-based drink. Serving it black allows the tropical fruit notes to sing, yet by adding milk, the vanilla sweetness shine through. It's like a New York-style cheesecake! Delicious.
A very welcome guest
Our Guest Bean range is a regularly refreshed rotation of single origin beans from Africa, The Americas and Asia. Designed to bring the best beans to your kitchen, we work with our importers to source coffees that are a little bit different, so that you can explore the world within your cup.
