200 DEGREES COFFEE NOW SERVED IN ALL 1ST CLASS CARRIAGES OF NEW EAST MIDLANDS RAILWAY FLEET

- News & Events
200 Degrees has partnered with East Midlands Railway (EMR) to provide our speciality coffee to first-class passengers on its new £400million Aurora fleet of trains.
All first-class passengers travelling to and from the region on the new Aurora trains will now be treated to the speciality coffee, roasted especially for EMR in our Nottingham-based roastery, ensuring a truly premium experience as part of the journey.
The coffee served on the new trains, which have now gone into service, is a specially selected single origin from Brazil, roasted by 200 Degrees’ coffee experts and freshly brewed onboard by trained EMR staff.
Ben Riley, our head of wholesale who oversaw the contract, believes it’s the perfect representation of what the Midlands has to offer. “The new Aurora fleet of trains is a fantastic investment by EMR, and 200 Degrees is the perfect partner to further elevate the travelling experience. The Midlands has always been considered the “engine” of British industry, and in this, the 200th anniversary year of train travel, EMR’s decision to partner with us for our quality and our attention to detail is a celebration of the ongoing investment in Midlands’ businesses.”

It's another big client for us, resulting in capital investment in production equipment to deliver our wholesale operation, which supports over 600 businesses across the UK including The Alchemist, the University of Birmingham and Olive Catering.
Philippa Cresswell, Customer Experience Director at East Midlands Railway, said: “As we bring our new Aurora fleet into service, we are working hard to deliver an enhanced food and drink offering that matches the uplift in experience the new trains will provide.
“We’re committed to partnering with exciting local suppliers, and we’re delighted to now be serving freshly brewed 200 Degrees coffee to our First Class Aurora customers. We have worked closely with 200 Degrees to select the best possible coffee, and we’re confident our customers will love the Brazilian beans we chose as they travel up and down the Midland Main Line with us.”
