Gatta Farm, Ethiopia

Finca El Matazano is located at 1,500masl in El Matazano community. The community of El Matazano belongs to the Montecillos region which stands out for its high quality coffees. This community is of Lenca ethnicity.

Gatta Farm was a natural forest before being planted with the first coffee trees in 2013. Plantation, harvesting and processing works are mainly done by the local residents. Women are involved, assigned to quality control and processing. By offering working opportunities and proper wage this is a real benefit for the local residents. 

Colombia is the third biggest producer of coffee in the world - The altitude in the west of the country, in the Andean region, and the warm weather make for stable coffee growing conditions all year round. El Diviso sits at 1800m.a.s.l, the perfect location for growing speciality beans.

This coffee was grown by more than 150 outgrower contributors living near the city of Yirgacheffe. The Bette Buna farms are vertically integrated, which means they grow, process and sell their coffee directly to customers.

Grown in the mountainous regions of Papua New Guinea, the coffees remain in the highlands once they are dried, where the climate is far less humid. Only once the shipping date approaches are they transported down from altitude to the port city of Lae and onwards heading for our Roast House in Nottingham.
