Colombia is the third biggest producer of coffee in the world - The altitude in the west of the country, in the Andean region, and the warm weather make for stable coffee growing conditions all year round. El Diviso sits at 1800m.a.s.l, the perfect location for growing speciality beans.

Remagoa’s isolated location used to mean that selling coffee involved a daily 2km hike down the mountain to sell at the side of the nearest road. With investment from Karst, processing of the coffee now takes place at source in the farmers homes, and only needs to be collected once, at the end of the harvest.

Lot 20 Coffee's mission is centred on improving coffee processing techniques while staying grounded in local communities. By choosing to operate smaller processing facilities in Kericho rather than large, high-tech facilities in Nairobi, Lot 20 aims to keep value within local communities. 

Grown in the mountainous regions of Papua New Guinea, the coffees remain in the highlands once they are dried, where the climate is far less humid. Only once the shipping date approaches are they transported down from altitude to the port city of Lae and onwards heading for our Roast House in Nottingham.
