Cauvery Peak, India
This 400-hectare estate is located at the summit of Sheveroy Hills, a mountain range named after a local deity that reaches 1620 meters above sea level. The farm is owned and managed by Ramraj Ramesh, who is not only known for his high-quality coffee but also for producing pepper and oranges. The regions water resource is almost entirely reliant on monsoon rainfall and is extremely prone to drought when the monsoons fail, this emphasises the importance of farmers not becoming dependant on one crop and diversifying what they produce.
The family has owned the farms for the last 70 years and have invested heavily in sustainable development; the neighbouring town of Salem have their own milling facilities, quality lab and export company. Outstanding soil, good biodiversity management and expectational agricultural practices have led to a fantastic coffee, with taste notes of Dark Chocolate, Walnut and Caramel.
A very welcome guest

"Process" means the way that a coffee bean is removed from the coffee cherry. Washed coffee sees the cherry removed from the bean by washing it in water tanks before the bean is dried.
