What is Operation Better Brews?
Operation Better Brews (OBB) is 200 Degrees’ campaign to get the nation drinking better coffee, because 8 out of 10 people surveyed recently said they’re spending money on coffee they don’t like. So we’re putting our own beans on the line to show how much we want you to have a better drinking experience, even when you’re not in one of our coffee shops!
Through our in-shop activation and online competitions across June and July, we’ll be helping everyone to level up their coffee-drinking experience, so you’ll never have to drink a bad brew again.
How does it work?
From Monday 8th until Sunday 21st June, coffee drinkers across the UK are invited to bring in their unwanted brews - instant granules, stale beans, or an uninspiring bag that’s been sitting in the cupboard too long - and swap them, completely free of charge, for either a 250g bag of 200 Degrees beans or a box of 200 Degrees pods to take home and enjoy at home, while stocks last. It’s that simple!
Then from June 15th keep an eye out on our social media for a new competition every week, where you could win anything from free coffee for your office, to free coffee for a year in shops!
What coffee will you accept?
Any type of coffee you have/use at home. That can be pods, beans,instant coffee, sachets, etc. It doesn’t matter if you like it or not– we’re not going to be judging you! We just want to give you the opportunity to try our coffee, and we hope you’ll agree it’s better than what you were using!
How many times can I swap my unwanted coffee for 200 Degrees coffee?
Our Ts & Cs state thatthis offer is valid for one redemption per person during the 2 week in-shop event.You can swap ONE unwanted coffee item for ONE bag of 200 Degrees beans or ONE box of 200 Degrees pods.
What happens to my unwanted coffee?
If your coffee is sealed and unopened, we’ll take these to a local foodbank at the end of the campaign.If your unwanted coffee is unsealed or half used, we’ll dispose of this with our other shop waste.
What if I don’t have a coffee machine at home?
You can still use our beans to make coffee the lo-fi manual way – if you’ve got a cafetiere, or amokkapot, just ask your barista to grind the beans for you. We can grind your coffee beans to suit any method of brewing.
Can I bring in a cup of takeaway coffee from another chain?
We won’t be able to accept cups of coffee as they will be difficult for our team to safely dispose of at the till. Stick to dry coffee – beans, ground coffee, instant granules etc!

200 Degrees Coffee Amnesty runs from Monday 8th to Sunday 21st June 2026 at participating 200 Degrees stores across the UK. To claim, customers must bring an unwanted coffee product in exchange for a 250g bag of 200 Degrees Brazilian Love Affair blend whole bean, or ground for cafetiere/aeropress/espresso etc. One redemption per person. Available while stocks last. No cash alternative is available. The manager's decision is final. 200 Degrees reserves the right to withdraw or amend the offer at any time.

One entry per workplace location. 200 Degrees will select a winner and tailor a bespoke coffee offer to suit your workplace needs. No cash alternative is available. Customers must complete a purchase via the 200 Degrees app in shop to be
entered into the competition. Purchase must be made between 6th and

One handmade drink per day will be automatically discounted from your order made using the app for the 365 day duration of your prize. Unused discounts will not be transferred to subsequent days.
